Obasanjo, Sultan of Sokoto, Egbogah visit University Of Ibadan

The university of Ibadan was a buzz of activities today as this Friday marked the last day of its convocation ceremony which had kick started on Monday, 13th November 2017. The convocation ceremony has proceeded smoothly since it began on Monday till its final day on Friday, November 17th 2017 which was the convocation day for Phd students and bestowment of honorary degrees to outstanding individuals.

Some dignitaries which graced the occasion with their presence included the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III amongst others. An helicopter was also noticed which alleged was used to convey a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his wife. The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo was also alleged to have attended the programme. The helicopter was parked at the student Union football field.

Amongst people to receive such honorary degrees was DR EMMANUEL EGBOGAH, a sponsor and alumnus of department of Petroleum engineering, University of Ibadan. Dr Egbogah was formerly the Special adviser to the President on Petroleum resources and the Managing Director and CEO of Emerald energy.

I, as a student of Petroleum engineering would personally love to congratulate Dr Egbogah on this achievement of yet another great feat.
