The Dream

The Dream

‘… I invite on stage, the Author of the award winning Novel, in person of ….’ his voice trailed off amidst the loud hooooos.
I approached the stage in the midst of applauds as I heard the host call my name.
‘Thank you’ I managed to say in the midst of an endless blush-grin that seemed to stretch till forever.
‘I am honored to stand before you all tonight’, I said, beaming with fulfillment.
‘I …’

‘Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr’, my three year old alarm belched.
I got up from bed, sluggishly. It is the same dream as always. I had slept off in the middle of my Speech Writing Assignment. There was also my half done Group work and of course the two pages of my ‘unborn’ award winning Novel.
