POLICE SAVAGERY

POLICE SAVAGERY

For what?
What did I do wrong?
What crime have I committed?
When has having an iPhone become a crime?

In a boarded vehicle,
I saw them afar.
I’ll be exploited again!
I said to myself.
“Give me your phone”
The police yelled at me.
Me, without contemplation,        gave out the phone.

Burning in fury,
I pleaded not to be shot.

“How can you afford such a phone?
You must be into yahoo!
He said to me.

Money they demanded,
I couldn’t pay.
They saw nothing could come out me,
Arrested they had me.

To lock me up, I was told.
Until I pay, I would be sold

Protection they are meant to be,
Endangering is not meant to be
I should be able to run to them
Not run away from them.

Soro Soke, I say
Let my voice be heard

SAY NO TO POLICE BRUTALITY ✊
