– We reject and condemn hijab in our mission schools
– Christianity also has several uniform.
Following Kwara State Government’s shut down of 10 Missionary schools in the State over the hijab controversy and the subsequent decision of the Kwara State Government to approve the use of hijab in all those Missionary schools, in an unwelcomed development, students were directed to resume back to their schools today, Monday 16th 2021.
However, the Christian community in the state has refused to bow in cowardice, by standing tall and not yielding their schools to the hijab Muslim uniform. This is the scenario today by the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) body, taking possession of the gate to Cherubim and Seraphim College at Sabo-Oke Area of Ilorin, Kwara state in protest; against the enforcement of the use of hijab by Muslim girls in mission schools in Kwara. In the interim, government has once again shut down the affected schools in Ilorin until further notice. (See pictures).

1. At the stake holders meeting held today, most especially in respect of the issue of wearing of Hijab in Public/Grant Aided schools.
A. The stakeholders appreciate the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for having a good interactive session with them.
B. The body condemn the use of Hijab in Christian Missions Grant Aided Schools as this will cause discrimination in schools and allow terrorist to easily identify our children and wards.
C. Christian mission grant aided schools should be returned to the owners promptly as most of these Schools have Churches besides them and unnecessary trespass may lead to break down of law and order.
D. Christ faithful should occupy all granted aided schools.
E. Christians should have a day for prayers and fasting for God to interface in the imbroglo.
F. We shall continue to interact and dialogue with the State Government on the return of grant aided schools to the proprietors.

NSCEA insists,” It is witchcraft and illegitimate authority to officially authorise hijab in our mission schools. We reject and condemn hijab in our mission schools. Ultimately, we are expecting the Kwara state government to cancel the use of hijab in our schools as now being stipulated. This stance will not change whether now or the nearest future by the special grace of God, in Jesus Christ Precious name. AMEN.
