HOME COMING

HOME COMING

Hello Tunde, I hope you know that your daddy is coming today? Tunde was 10 years, and it was 10 years his  father  traveled. He was surprised because he had never seen his daddy before.

Tunde was the last of the four children, was so happy and filled with joy that he would soon see his daddy. He started asking his mother “ how tall is he and his complexion, who resembles him most out of them”. He disturbed his mummy that his mummy was so tired.

The mother informed the rest of the children about the homecoming of their daddy. Kunle who was 16years and the eldest only saw his daddy when he was 6 years can’t figure out how his daddy was. The memory was a faint one. The rest of the children who were Tunji and Bola couldn’t even recognize their daddy.

They filled the house with euphoria that their daddy would soon return. The mother started cleaning the house, and the husband kept calling every 1hr. The husband who was leaving in UK for the past 9 years was thinking on how the family would be and how grown up the children would also be. He had bought a lot of things for them from United Kingdom.

He arrived Muritala International airport 5:00am. They offloaded their loads. He took a taxi to a car park in Logos where he could get Ibadan from there. The car somersaulted along Gurumaji, Lagos Ibadan Express road. They affected the car that three people died. The father was looking sit by the roadside. He was taken to a nearby hospital. He spent two days at the hospital because of minor scar injury.

He reached their house in Ibadan the third day although the area looked different from how he left it. The family were so happy that they reunited despite the hurdles.
