Life rolls just as fast as it starts
Like the opening and closing of each eyelid
Within a twinkle of a moon’s crescent
Suddenly we are wrinkled
Sullenly with grey hairs in halo motion on top our heads.
Before it’s too late
Then we discover we existed
And sifted past life like a gust of wind
Without an inflorescence of experience
Let’s live thoroughly
And leave our marks in the sands of time
For there’s a lot of light to give
And Memories to create.
Filling each tummies with belly rumbling laughter
Adding a little flicker to illuminate
Each and every life
Accompanied with a dash of hope.
Every now and then
Taking each moment as it comes
Living, laughing and loving.
