The bleeding nation
After many years of flight
Trying to save things at all odds.
Hovering over many places possible.
The strong eagle has become weary
Despite its trial to keep it together.
Our vibrant flowers are wilting.
For their nutrients is used up.
Whilst emitting fragrances
To erase the pungent stench of corruption
Massacres and bloodshed.
That is been infused into the atmosphere.
The horses are galloping gallantly.
With all the strength and energy
They naturally possess and exude.
But they have come of age
And must muster courage
To avoid show of weakness.
The rivers formerly praised for their purity.
Is now tainted with cries of blood spilled
The once filled to the brim river
Is now dried up like a desert.
O God of creation
Kindly direct our noble cause
Elèdumarè we plead
That you heal our land
For our nation is bleeding
Babà dà rijì wà
And make us whole again.
Babà dà rijí wa- God forgive us
