RATION, RATION

RATION, RATION

RATION, RATION

Repressant opinion
Dominant recession
An egg for one stomach
Shattered to feed a million

Passive aggressive
It’s uncomprehensive
The dream of our nation
Sacrificed on the alters of politicians

Ration ration
We’re rationing our stomachs
And inflating the bellies
Of announcers of recession

Regression regression
The market’s regressing
So, we ration our portions
But the prices keep rising

Recession recession
We’re crying recession
Yet, our roads are filled with
Big vehicles and long convoys

Dollar to naira
The numbers are rising
An irony to tell us
Our economy is crashing

Lamenting, rejoicing
We’re suffering and smiling
And shaming the memories
Of heroes of our independence
