Incoherent Life

Incoherent Life

In a dream I never had,

I lived in a perfect world

The experiences I never had

Made me realize that

In a perfect world, this won’t be a perfect world.

Then I woke up to a day I never lived.

Prayed to a God I never knew

Had Breakfast with a family I never had.

Then drove off in a car I never owned

To a job I never had

To make millions I’ll never own

After work, I returned to my wife and kids, whom I never knew

They prepared a dinner I never ate

Because I went straight to bed

Fell asleep and continued a dream I never had.

A dream we’ll now call my reality.
