Ships

B rigs came; we clouds cried for your shores,

The world dropped from your eyes,

And there, into the dusty helo you

e ntrained.

N  ow before you & forever,

    We became a ripple & a goodbye

U ndersea,

      sailing burdens—

undocking piers & setting memories aflare.

      Save us bries and cheesecakes,

Wait for us beside the mistletoe,

      Say a halo,

        And bid our

E ntryways.
