Warriors in Heels by Princess .E. Akenzua
Who are they you ask?
They are our sisters, our mothers and grandmothers,
Who are always hit but get back up,
They are the people who are underrated because of their gender,
They are the people who are locked up in the kitchen with the dirty dishes,
They are the full time housewives.
They are the people who are denied the right to education,
But are still the smartest,
They are the people who are do all professions making it clear that anything a man can do a woman can do it better.
They are the people who are trafficked,
Raped, harassed and abused.
We are the people who are not allowed to rule,
To them we are the people who are created to cook and clean.
Our husbands do not care how we think, how smart we are,
They care only on how we cook and looks.
They speak to us with no respect,
They insult us because they think they are supreme to us.
