My body longed for his touch
but my soul made a caricature of his diminutive advances.
It’s funny how your body can betray your heart.
You know they say we only let go once
But I wept at what couldn’t hold on to me forever
Love was like a snare
Ready to plunge my soul into the underworld devoid of understanding,
Yes it could be blind for me,
And yes I gave it all up.
Tears at what I could break
Angry at what refused to leave my lusting flesh.
I know this would seem bizarre to you,
For thou hath no understanding.
But in the utopia of my world,
Therein my knowledge basks and flows freely,
With much ebullience and reckless abandon.
